Why CHOICE in Education Matters

We live in a country that values freedom of choice.  Dr. Suess Quote

We value our right to vote.  We value our right to choose how we spend our time, where we shop, who takes care of our medical needs, and where we live.  We value choice!

Education is one of the most important choices we make. How children spend the majority of their day impacts what they learn, how they solve problems, how they define themselves, and their ability to interact with family and friends. Schools help students and families define a child's future.  Parents should always have the freedom to choose something that has such a significant impact in the lives of their children.

A Better Choice

ISTCS was founded on the idea that parents should have quality choices for their children's education. All students are unique and deserve an educational experience in which they can excel.

We understand that not everyone will choose ISTCS, but we believe that our school is the best choice if you value:

  • high educational standards
  • a safe, supportive environment
  • authentic, project-based learning
  • advanced opportunities at every grade level
  • music opportunities in band, strings, choir, guitar, or piano
  • a small school environment
  • inclusive after-school academic and athletic activities

If you think ISTCS may be a better educational option for your student, please contact us for more details or complete an online registration form.

Educational Philosophy

Students who learn to apply knowledge and skills in positive, collaborative, supportive settings will be prepared for their future.  This educational philosophy is based on four fundamental beliefs:

  1. Quality education is the key to a successful future.
  2. Students learn best when they are personally invested in their own learning.
  3. Students are more likely to be personally invested in learning that has authentic value to them such as Project Based Learning.
  4. Students learn best in a safe, supportive environment.
